I will admit it. I had never seen "Pitch Black" until this week. In fact, I was only inspired to see it due to
elizaria 's post of a pic from it. When Vin started speaking, I melted. It has been so long since I have seen one of his movies, that I had forgotten how wonderful and velvety his voice is. Now, I want to go watch everything that he has done; possibly with my eyes closed.
That is all.

Date: 2010-01-14 12:19 pm (UTC)Sorry for the caps lock lapse - I stupidly sort of figured that people had seen it when you know and like Vin Diesel. Silly of me yes I know.
It's the first movie I saw of him and the first i ever heard of him and rewatched that thing so many times. Also the movie that brought me into fandom and websites and fanfic. In 2001 I barely even knew what fanfic was and had barely read any. After Pitch Black I even started writing myself and got very busy in fandom mostly by webmastering and forum admined two big sites. And made a lot of friends I still hang with. Lovely start into fandom.
And yes, do. Watch all of them. I lfound myself loving (animated) Iron Giant because (also of the cute story) his voice as the giant is so so awesome. I didn't know you could do that with your voice you know.. or well his voice.
Mmmm.

Date: 2010-01-14 02:12 pm (UTC)My love for Vin Diesel is fairly casual; in the 'oh, yeah, I'd forgotten how much I loved him' sort of way. I DID see Iron Giant but I didn't know that he was the Giant.
Casual love. It's a pleasant sort of love.
My intro to fandom was in 1998; Star Trek: Voyager, Highlander and The Sentinel. Crossovers galore. Good times.

True, and mostly what I am these days. I don't have time to keep up with him and even less on his Facebook or teh forum.
Star Trek: Voyager, Highlander and The Sentinel
I watched all of those but somehow that whoel fandom thing never really came up. Probably because I was on my first year as University student and only watched the shows sporadically.
